Alabama Requirements

Licensed Practical Nurses

  • LPNs are required to complete 24 contact hours of continuing education every 2 years. 
    • 4 of the 24 contact hours must be on The Nurse Practice Act. (one-time requirement)

  • If you graduated in Kentucky after 1998 the domestic violence course was included in your curriculum. Your one-time requirement has been met.
